MiKUSSU

This  project revolves around creating an FnB outlet that incorporates an Asian fusion cuisine, which is reflected in the space using forms, colors, and textures.

The concept was to seamlessly blend the styles and cuisines of Japan and Thailand by using prominent elements from both countries. The space was to be curvilinear , taking inspiration from Japan’s straight lines and angles, and incorporating that with Thailand’s free and organic curves. Origami is also used to enhance the space.

The name of this restaurant is “Mikkusu” (ミックス), which translates to “The Mix” in Japanese. As it describes the intention of the space and the cuisine, as this is a mixing pot or fusion of 2 unique Asian cuisines and cultures.
