Universal bathroom design

An ember is a bright piece of wood, or coal that glow for some time and exude warmth. The concept for this ADA bathroom is to have a space that is not only practical, and functional, but also aesthetic and comforting, which is a factor commonly ignored.

The space is cozy and is divided, with the center being empty, like with a bonfire. Copper is used here to bring attention to grab bars and to the bathroom accessories, instead of trying to hide it. The bathroom also uses warm and even lighting to help provide such an ambience, while also helping the visually challenged.

This space is rather linear and minimalistic, with dark and copper undertones to bring out the concept. The engineered wood and slate flooring is also added to provide a tactile sense to the user as well. As most the bathroom fixtures are designed as to provide a contrast for easier access. Thus, the space is intended to provide a sense of warmth and comfort, with soft dark, and neutral tones, instead of just something sensible and institutional, without personality.
