Fragmentum

This is a pair of stilettos, inspired by the famous building of  The Royal Ontario Museum, located in Ontario, Canada, is designed by Daniel Libskind. These shoes were conceived from the building itself, and were designed as a competition entry for United Nude

Due to the crystal-like shape of this building, it was among the most complicated construction projects in North America. There are no right angles and only one vertical wall in the structure. This building has an organized order of chaos and restorative unpredictability.

This concept of fragmentation is used in designing the composition of the heels as well. There are no right angles, and the footwear incorporates the diagonal elements to pay homage to the building.

The diagonal lines and angles of these shoes, create  a post-modern blend of forms. The colors of the shoes were also an important aspect that was considered. It is designed to look good in every color, be it ferrari red, or bright pantone white.
